Ranchos Itauna sits close enough to Santa Teresa to walk everywhere that matters: three minutes to the town itself and three minutes to Kaukau Santa Teresa for food, which cuts out taxis for most of a typical day spent between the beach and the room. Free breakfast, a bar and an on-site restaurant handle meals without needing to leave the property at all, and the airport shuttle covers the 25-minute run to Cobano for arriving and departing guests alike. Air conditioning offsets the busier, more built-up setting compared to the quieter beaches further north on this same coast. Nothing about the property is flashy, which fits a coast that has largely stayed outside Costa Rica's bigger resort corridors.
