Totobe sits right on Coyote's gray sand, and the pool by the restaurant does most of the work when the surf is too rough for casual swimming. Rooms are simply furnished rather than styled, which keeps the focus on the beach outside the door rather than on the interiors themselves. The restaurant covers meals on site, useful given how few options exist within walking distance on this part of the coast where the nearest town is a genuine drive away. Airport transfers are arranged through the hotel, which matters more here than at properties closer to Cobano, since Coyote itself sits roughly two and a half hours from Liberia by taxi on roads that are not always paved the whole way. Pets are welcome, and the kid-friendly tag fits the overall low-key, family pace that defines the whole property from morning to night.

Il Totobe è una base pratica sul mare più che un boutique hotel: le camere sono semplici, ma piscina, ristorante e navetta per l'aeroporto coprono l'essenziale in una parte isolata della penisola di Nicoya. Lo prenoterei per un soggiorno di mare tranquillo in famiglia, animale compreso. Chi cerca vita notturna o un design curato dovrebbe guardare verso Santa Teresa.

Le onde possono essere forti su questo tratto aperto del Pacifico, quindi la piscina all'aperto è la scelta più semplice per i piccoli nuotatori. Il ristorante interno e la navetta per l'aeroporto risolvono due questioni pratiche su una costa isolata, e il parcheggio gratuito facilita le escursioni. Le camere sono arredate in modo semplice, pensate per giornate di mare e piscina.
