For travellers who want wellness as a backdrop rather than the focus of the trip, the hot-tub-and-garden hotels do the job without the spa rate: T Loft's fireplace evenings, Hermosa Paradise's family-oriented pool area, and Bosque del Mar's beachfront hot tub all deliver a slower pace without booking treatments, which is worth weighing against the two hotels with dedicated spa facilities depending on what kind of relaxation you're actually after on this particular trip. None of these simpler setups pretend to be a spa, which arguably makes them easier to enjoy without expectations running ahead of what's actually on offer at each property.
