Toucan Lane Suites
Suites steps from Toucan Lane's restaurant and lounge
About this stay
The birdlife tag on this property points to the wooded stretch of road it sits on, one minute's walk from the Toucan Lane and Drunky Monky restaurant, bar and lounge complex that anchors evenings in this part of Nuevo Arenal. Suites come with kitchens, useful for self-catering between meals out, and pet-friendly policies that are not universal on this list. The outdoor pool and air conditioning cover the practical basics, while room service adds flexibility for guests who would rather not walk the one minute to the restaurant every time. Free breakfast, Wi-Fi and parking are standard, and accessible rooms extend the property to travelers with mobility needs. The three-hour-plus taxi run to San Jose airport is the main logistical consideration for a stay based here.

Our take
A 9.8 on 242 ratings is a rare score, and the inclusions explain a lot: free breakfast, Wi-Fi and parking, kitchens in the suites, a pool, air conditioning and room service. Pets are welcome, which not every neighbor offers. Toucan Lane and Drunky Monky are one minute away on foot for evening drinks. I would book it for the value of what is included.
- ✓Walk to Toucan Lane & Drunky Monky at least once, it anchors the evening scene one minute from the door.
- ✓Use the in-suite kitchen for at least one meal to break up the restaurant-heavy stretch nearby.
- ✓Bring pets with confidence here, the property is explicitly pet-friendly unlike several neighbors.
